I Do's and Stunning Views in Philadelphia

When Nico and Blair went on their first date in San Francisco to sushi and Josh Groban concert, they may not have predicted Josh Groban would also be the soundtrack to their walk down the aisle years later. The couple, working with Hotel Palomar's wedding coordinators, made sure their wedding was full of personal touches just like this to reflect them and the things they love. From including their dog in the festivities, to enjoying filet mignon from Blair's family business as part of the delicious reception dinner, to paying homage to their “new hometown” with table numbers and menus featuring the Philadelphia skyline, as well as a Philadelphia-themed wedding cake—it was a unique and unforgettable day.

Memorable Details

The couple loved that Kimpton Hotel Palomar was dog-friendly, so they could include their beloved pup, Chase, in all aspects of their wedding day. This included a relaxed morning walk with the dog around Rittenhouse Square and the grooms walking down the aisle with Chase by their side.

"We looked at so many different wedding venues throughout the city, but as soon as we walked into the Palomar, we knew it was the right venue for us. We loved the intimate ballroom on the 25th floor with views of some of Philadelphia's most iconic buildings."

The Ceremony

Both the ceremony and the reception took place in the Burnham Ballroom on the 25th floor. The ceremony featured two tall “trees” of orchids on willow branches and vases of submerged orchids. The reception had a dancefloor, round banquet tables, floral arrangements, and blue up-lighting. Each table had tiered cylinders of submerged white orchids and floating candles.

We felt completely taken care of the entire weekend by Lauren and Erin, and everyone from the doormen to the front desk staff seemed genuinely excited for us.

After a dreamy celebration with their loved ones, both human and canine, the newlyweds spent their wedding night at Kimpton Hotel Palomar and enjoyed brunch with friends and family the next morning before jetting off to the ultimate post-wedding destination—Disney World!
